Welcome to Al-Khampis, Land of Learning

An oasis in the desert for those thirsty for knowledge, the college town of Al-Khampis has nurtured Luxendarc's greatest minds for generations.

The cobblestone streets are lined with bookstores, stationery stories, affordable cafeterias and quiet cafes for study. Almost the entire population is either student, faculty, administrator, or school employee, and everything is catered towards the academic. It doesn't matter what dimension you come from, as long as you're here to learn - a wealth of interdimensional knowledge awaits.

All students are given a rating of their academic merit, ranking from one to five stars, marked on their uniform. Though in recent years, lineage and generous donations made to the school have factored into the distribution of extra stars. A common room with a warm fireplace and comfortable reading chairs greets them as you enter the dormitory, and the dorm mother knows every student that comes and goes from their place of rest. She's well versed in tending to those with more injurious studies as well.

Be careful venturing out of the city, though. A desert with deadly scorpions, giant earthworms and hungry jackals stretches out between Al-Khampis and Ancheim, the bustling economic giant that is its nearest neighbour.
